WesGrooves Social Dance Series: Salsa Dancing with Las Mariquitas and Latin and Ballroom Club

The Moors (2017) by Jen Silverman is a dark comedy about love, desperation, and visibility. This Wesleyan production will be directed by Visiting Assistant Professor of Theater Alex Keegan. Featuring a senior capstone performance by Josh Ehrlich ’25, advised by Assistant Professor of Theater Lauren Yeoman. Also featuring a senior capstone in lighting design by Henry Owens ’25, advised by Assistant Professor of Theater Courtney Gaston.

Collegium Musicum Spring Concert: Leyli鈥檚 Sky鈥擬usical Constellations Across Time

Inspired by the classical Arabic tale, Leyli and Majnun, as retold by the 12th-century Persian mystical poet Nizami Ganjavi, and by the Old Irish Saltair na Rann (Psalter of the Verses), attributed to the lector Airbertach (d. 1016),  Wesleyan’s Collegium Musicum will premiere new pieces that draw on cosmic and historical themes by graduate music student Negar Soleymanifar and Irish composer Seán Doherty in a concert under the direction of Jane Alden, Professor of Music, and Chair and Professor of Medieval Studies.

Javanese Gamelan and Dance Spring Concert
